What is AI automation?

AI automation combines traditional workflow automation — tools like n8n, Power Automate or Copilot Studio moving data between systems on a trigger — with AI models that can read, summarise, classify or draft content inside that workflow. Instead of only matching fields and copying data, a step in the automation can decide what a document is about, extract the relevant detail, or write a first-draft reply. It still runs on the same trigger/action structure — the AI is just one more action in the chain.

Do I need to know how to code to learn AI automation?

What's the difference between n8n, Power Automate and Copilot Studio?

n8n is a visual, node-based automation platform that connects to hundreds of apps and can also be self-hosted. Microsoft Power Automate is built into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and is usually the simpler choice if your business already runs on Teams, SharePoint and Outlook. Copilot Studio is Microsoft's platform for building custom copilots and agents. Cloudpilar Academy's courses cover all three so you can choose the right tool for your organisation rather than learning one in isolation.
